Boathouses & Boat Lifts

Custom Boathouse Builders

The boathouse builders at Serenity Brothers know living on the water has so many advantages. One of which is owning a boat or PWC to really enjoy the water with. Whether you live on a freshwater river, lakeside, or Intracoastal, having one is a necessity for most homeowners. If you do, then a custom-built boathouse is an excellent way to protect your investment.

Types of Boathouses We Design & Build

Here are the types of structures our boathouse builders specialize in:

Single-Slip Boathouses

A smaller permanent waterfront structure with covered roof built on pilings that houses one boat or up to two watercraft with a walkway on the side or around the perimeter.

Boathouses with Boat Lift

A permanent waterfront structure with covered roof built on pilings that features a hoist which can easily raise (and lower) a boat or watercraft completely out of the water.

Multi-Slip Boathouses

A larger permanent waterfront structure with covered roof built on pilings that houses two or more boats and watercraft with an interior layout that can be fully customized.

Two-Story Decked Boathouses

A permanent waterfront structure with covered roof built on pilings that houses one or more boats or watercraft that features a top sun deck with stairs for recreational use.

Boathouse With Boat Lift = Extra Protection

A boathouse with boat lift provides an extra level of protection by lifting your boat or PWC out of the water entirely. This provides significant longevity and reduces maintenance for your boat and/or jet skis. Here’s how:

Prevents Damage to the Hull

The hull of a boat or PWC often receives the most damage below its waterline. Extreme weather conditions and floating debris can wreak havoc here. Keeping the vessel out of the water prevents the constant wave battering and drifting objects from causing damage.

Prevents Algae and Corrosion

Algae can and often will collect and build up below the boat or PWC waterline. This growth is difficult to remove and leads to corrosion and even leaks if not maintained. Boats kept out of the water prevents algae from forming and avoids the damages that can follow.

Prevents Sun and Wind Damage

UV rays from the harsh Florida sun are a menace to vinyl seats, dashboards, and canvas causing them to fade and crack over time. The hull can oxidize, chalk, and become dull from exposure. Also, high winds put incredible stress on mooring lines, cleats, and covers.

Our Boathouse Construction Services

It was a great experience dealing with Serenity Brothers building and maintaining my dock and boathouse-- there employees were courteous and answered my questions and made me feel valued!! My dock was the only one that survived hurricane Irma!! I would highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for great value and a beautiful product!!!

5+++++ stars. Excellent company and they did a fabulous job installing my bulkhead. The crew—Kevin, Brian, and Mickey —were amazing. They were true professionals who were clearly experts in their field; each of them could operate all the machinery and handle every aspect of the project. They paid attention to every detail, kept me well-informed throughout the process, and consulted me whenever necessary. I especially appreciated the care they took to protect my front yard from damage. In addition, they are easily some of the hardest working people I have ever seen. They finished the project much more quickly than I expected, cleaned up the job site, and left the area ready for sod. I am thrilled with the results and would not hesitate to hire Serenity Brothers again.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great experience working with them. Wayne, the owner, was knowledgeable and easy to work with, and Ryan, the project manager, kept everything organized and on schedule. The crew on site was professional, respectful, and worked efficiently to get the job done quickly. The entire process was smooth from start to finish, and the quality of work shows for itself. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing dock work.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We recently hired Serenity Brothers for a dock project and were blown away by the results. The attention to detail in the construction is evident, and the project was completed on time. What really impressed me, however, was their white-glove service. Seeing the crew bring up our garbage cans was a small gesture that spoke volumes about their company culture. They are professional, tidy, and clearly take pride in their reputation. We will definitely be using them for all future waterfront needs.

From the top level, you owe it to yourself to allow Wayne (the owner) and his team to quote your project. Here’s why:

1. Professionalism & Respect
I don’t want to detract from any of their other merits, but I can’t overstate how strongly this quality stands out from all the other contractors I’ve used in the 10 years I’ve owned a home in Jacksonville. Every single person — from the owner to the newest hand — is consistently kind, respectful, and professional. I never once had to overlook an attitude I didn’t like because of “kids these days.” Everyone was considerate of my property, addressed me and my family respectfully, and even toned down language and music when I was outside (without being asked — I actually told them they didn’t need to).

2. Skill & Artistry
Each crew has at least one seasoned lead, and the more junior members are clearly well-coached on where their skill boundaries lie and when to ask questions. But it goes beyond technical marine carpentry — every step of the way, the crew lead was thinking ahead about aesthetics and what small, non-structural modifications could make the finished build better. They’ve clearly dealt with their fair share of hands-on homeowners, as they often anticipated and addressed my concerns before I even voiced them.

3. Equipment
Serenity Bros fill a unique niche in Jacksonville’s marine construction space. They operate relatively large cranes on compact barges, supported by even smaller workboats that allow them to adapt to tight or shallow environments. In short, they can reach areas many large-format contractors can’t, while still handling substantial builds. They had no trouble driving the long pilings needed for the deep mud of my tributary (my keel sits about 2 feet above Irma's high water mark now!)

4. Make It Right
Marine construction is inherently subjective — there’s often more than one “right” way to do something. Whenever I disagreed with something, we simply sat down — whether with sales, the owner, or the crew lead — and talked it out. Every time, they either explained why their approach was correct or they fixed it. Simple as that. Just make sure you give them the benefit of the doubt and a fair chance to explain.

We had an outstanding experience working with Serenity Brothers on our boathouse project. From start to finish, they delivered exceptional craftsmanship, clear communication, and a genuine commitment to quality. John, our main point of contact, was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. He kept us informed, answered all our questions, and made sure everything stayed on track. Tim, the lead builder, was a true professional. His attention to detail and skill were evident in every part of the structure. You can tell he takes pride in his work, and it shows!

The final result exceeded our expectations. The boathouse is not only sturdy and functional, but also beautifully designed. It blends perfectly with our property and has quickly become one of our favorite additions.

We wholeheartedly recommend Serenity Brothers to anyone looking for top-tier workmanship and a smooth, enjoyable building experience. They truly went above and beyond!

recommendsTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Facebook. Serenity Brothers did an excellent job repairing my old dock several months ago.So much so ,that it survived our recent hurricane Irma with only very minor issues. By contrast, most docks in my area and elsewhere were totally destroyed. Good job!!!
